Our Annual “Evening of Dance”

Our annual performance started by founder Flora Pigeau in 1976. The June Shows allows our dancers to perform to sold out audiences at the Michael J. Fox Theatre in Burnaby. Therefore, this year we celebrate our 46th “Evening of Dance”.

Each performance offers exciting and award-winning choreography from our faculty and guest choreographers. We are proud to offer professional level Shows that delight our audiences.

Examinations

While the Academy incorporates many styles of dance, we specialize in the world renowned Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabi. Through our professional membership and training, students receive the best training.

We are proud to have many successful Exam candidates each year from Primary to Solo Seal, with a high percentage receiving the highest mark of Distinction.

Special Performance Opportunities

Throughout the year, the Academy often performs at a variety of different events including community events & parades, local schools, private events, weddings, and senior care facilities.

In 2019, we participated in a performance of “The Nutcracker”, in partnership with the Surrey Orchestra. We hope to bring back this performance in 2022, if Covid-19 restrictions permit.
